I was tired of buying fruit and then finding it rotten a week later. I wasted my money and felt guilty about wasting food. I also know my body needs the fiber and the vitamins.
We tend to eat with our eyes.
You are more likely to choose a healthy snack, like fruit, if you have it someplace that is clearly visible.
I keep my fruit bowl near the entrance of my kitchen, so I can’t miss it.
Since I have made this small change, there is no more rotten fruit in my garbage can – just fresh fruit in my belly!
PS: The opposite is true as well. If I do buy something unhealthy (like a tub of chocolate covered almonds) I will hide it in the back of a cabinet, and sometimes I forget about it!
